Today the neighborhood is rapidly gentrifying and homes are in various stages of renovation. Flat Shoals Avenue cuts diagonally across the district from northwest to southeast. The older section is west of the rail right of way planned for the new Atlanta Beltline. There are many different home styles including an entire block of double shotgun houses on Chester Avenue.
